What Documents Do You Need to Rent a Car in Zimbabwe?

What Documents Do You Need to Rent a Car in Zimbabwe?

A driver's licence held for at least two years — in English, or accompanied by an international driving permit if it isn't — a passport, and that's genuinely most of it for a standard rental.

The one extra requirement is age-specific: the Fortuner and Land Cruiser 79 both have a minimum driver age of 23, which is about vehicle size and insurance terms rather than an arbitrary rule. Our other vehicles don't carry that restriction.

If you're planning to cross into Zambia, Botswana, Namibia or South Africa, that's a separate, additional set of paperwork we prepare for you — not something you need to arrange yourself beforehand.
