Victoria Falls: Zimbabwe Side vs Zambia Side

The Falls straddle the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and which side you visit from changes more than just the view. The Zimbabwe side has more of the main falls frontage and the view of the Victoria Falls Bridge; the Zambia side gets you closer to the water, including, seasonally, Devil's Pool right on the edge.
Most guests base themselves on one side and visit the other as a half-day add-on rather than splitting accommodation between both — crossing the border for a few hours is straightforward, and staying overnight on both sides is mostly unnecessary unless you have a specific reason to.
If your trip is built around Zimbabwe — Hwange, the Zambezi, self-drive touring — basing yourself here and treating the Zambia side as a single add-on day is the simpler plan.
